How Does Invisalign Work?

Invisalign treatment uses a set of aligners that can straighten your teeth. These aligners are removable, comfortable, and practically invisible. These can make you feel much more comfortable and confident in your smile throughout treatment. These aligners are created with the use of 3D computer imaging technology. It has been proven to be an exceptionally effective method for straightening teeth.

Starting the Process

Our staff will take a 3D digital scan of your teeth and our orthodontists will create a treatment plan to get you started with clear aligners that will begin shifting the teeth. We will take pictures and x-rays of the teeth to ensure we are getting the right treatment plan mapped out for each patient’s individual needs. The entire process is broken into multiple phases of treatment. Each phase will require a new set of aligners to be created for your mouth to correctly move the teeth into the desired position.

Your Role in Invisalign

Invisalign aligners are removable, which means that you can eat and drink whatever you want during treatment. It also makes oral hygiene easier, because you can remove the aligner before you brush and floss. The aligners tend to be more comfortable than traditional braces because they don’t have any metals or wires that may irritate the inside of your mouth. Invisalign treatments typically require fewer visits to your orthodontist. The ideal benefit regarding Invisalign is that the aligners are practically invisible.

Patients will need to follow the instructions given by Bailey Orthodontics to receive the right treatment. We need you to wear your aligners all the time, except when eating and drinking, or brushing and flossing your teeth.
